ROAMING REESE

Trail Legs

Miles: 24

Good evening my compatriots. Today was a good day. Last night was quite treacherous however, the rain had its dirty ways with everyone who tented outside. Even the best tents like Durston with a double wall and great rain fly can only stand so much rain before the inside gets misted. Everyone got wet to a certain degree. Green Man got fucked. Sorry for language but I don’t know how else to professionally describe it. His new air mattress popped, the rain pooled up around his tent and entered it, and a tree fell almost right on his tent. He took a video from inside his tent and it looked like a submarine movie water leaking in moment. We ran into him drying his stuff in a field completely out of willpower. We all clutched up in the end though and made it up Chestnut Knob and got to the amazing view and special house style shelter just in time for sunset. The view overlooks a large collapsed sinkhole with scattered houses within it. There is only one entrance and exit through. We also had a river crossing today. Everyone made it but Scary Hands and I hope she is doing okay. Hike your own hike sure but I never like it when it’s just one of us who isn’t around. We are on track to completing over 100 miles in one week. Looks like we got our so called trail legs! 10:00PM so its really bedtime for me. Stayed up too late typing like usual!
