ROAMING REESE

Rivers, Waterfalls, Oh My!

Miles: 15

Despite some not so great things happening yesterday today was fun. We passed two larger waterfalls and I climbed up to one of them with green and took a shower in it. The second one everyone had lunch at. Right now I’m at the shelter I ended up at last year when I hiked this section. I might regret deciding to sleep in the shelter here. Seems like there’s a lot of mice but maybe they aren’t too bad. When I really look at them they seem kinda cute. I hung my bag up but I’m still hoping they don’t mess with it. Anyways stopping at the waterfall today and climbing it to take a shower reminded me why I’m doing this. The walking is good exercise but ultimately it’s doing stuff like that which makes the experience fun. I miss having Zero around and I hope her leg feels better. There’s another very cool waterfall I get to see tomorrow. I’m very lucky. Short one sorry! I listened to a podcast for the first time on trail today. I love Terrible Lizards, it’s a dinosaur podcast that balances academic heavy research with fun. Dr David Hone is the host and does a lot of cool research and the co-host is a bubbly author that is kinda like his foil I suppose (literally term usage there). The episodes I listened to today talked about marine reptiles and their ancestors, spinosuars and how they’re misrepresented in media, and the nanotyrannus paper. Apparently the nanotyrannus or the ā€œfighting dinosaursā€ display is in North Carolina which made me sad I missed it. I didn’t know that. Don’t even know if it’s out to the public yet though. The nanotyrannus is real! Also I cut a little piece of fabric to make mudkip a little scarf like what the characters wear in mystery dungeon. Don’t have the bandwith for any photos but I have some brewing up. Catch you next time.
