Retracing Steps

No connection at this tent site and it’s so cold it’s hard to type. Will post this tomorrow. I’ll keep it shorter because I barely can move fingers. Or actually I will warm up first. 10 minutes later and I still can barely type. I’m just keeping them in my sleeping bag and I’m activating a hand warmer. When I’m in town I’m going to need to buy a new mini Swiss Army knife and spork I lost them both. Been using a stick for a spoon/fork. Modelo has been so funny lately. Every morning we camp he walks around to all the peoples tents who sleep in and wakes us up by acting like a bear or shaking them. He decided today that he’s going to trail days with us tomorrow (in our rental car? Hopefully). Huge mountain climb today. There was ruins of an abandoned hotel at the top that used to have a train as the only way there. An old extravagant escape for those who could afford it. Must have been really nice. It felt like the smokies on that mountain. It was pretty high up there. After the mountain I ended up where I started my first AT experience with my neighbor: Carvers Gap. It’s seriously one of the most beautiful places on the trail and just returning there but this time starting from Georgia was something else. I haven’t wrote about Detail yet but he gave us chocolates and is generally a very good dude. He’s like 60 and reminds me a bit of an older sniper from tf2. He’s been helping out the Brazilians. Gus and Motor made it to Damascus today motor’s girlfriend drove them. They also discovered that there’s a huge emo rave tonight which I’m so bummed about not making it lol. Raves used to be so cool and emo then normies got their grimy hands all over it. I wasn’t really emo when it was cool though so it’s kinda posery for me to say but let’s give credit where it’s due. Also Green got human turd on his jacket today. He was collecting firewood and pulled up a log that was hiding shit beneath it. Some muppet didn’t bury their shit correctly. He got it off but we all felt so bad for him. It was a bit funny too but we mostly felt bad. Anyways a shorter 9 mile day tomorrow then we get the rent a car. Ultimate freedom we can do anything!!! I joked about watching an imax movie in theaters at some point to just shock our senses. That’s all for today. Thanks for reading!
