ROAMING REESE

Pre-Hike

Just about a week now before I embark on my ultimate 5-6 month vacation. The perfect time for my indecisive ah to make last second gear decisions. There's a lot of anal retentive not all who wander are lost stickered "people" out there who come up with strategies to make their pack as light as possible even going as far as to leave out necessities like a massive kickass knife. I am not one of them... BUT I do legit want to get my pack on ozempic because the weight does really add up. But here is where I am at currently.

My Gear:

Total = ~24lbs without food or water also Mudkip is not an item he is my companion I did not weigh him that would be rude and demeaning. Adding food and water can increase the weight by up to 10lbs so If I can even cut 2-3lbs I'd be chipper. 23lbs is considered average I heard for a 2200 mile trip. The ultra light gods get theirs around 20lbs without going tentless.

Water is filtered as you go depending on it's availability but I don't plan on die-hydrating. I also forgoed (couldve swore that was a word) packing a little gas cooking setup. This is because a thru-hiker I met when I did my 3 day hike a few months ago was doing just that, and it worked for him. (His trail name is Dunkin and I will be using his blog as an additional guide).

Thanks for tuning in for the first post! I am going to try and update this daily (if I have connection) from my phone on the trail. I also want to add the miles I covered and where I ended up that day too. I need to find a good format for that. Also I don't think comments are possible on this platform like other ones which is sad but I like how I got it to look swaggy so I guess it is what it is. Ok cya later.
